2 women killed, 50 injured in road accident

Jagadalpur, Chhattisgarh, Mar 8 (UNI) Two tribal women were killed on the spot and more than 50 injured in a road accident when they were en route to take part in a rally held to mark the International Women's Day today in this district, police said.

The Iriyeguda-resident women were en route to here when their truck lost its control and overturned on Jagdalpur-Chitrakoot road, near this district's Chhapar Manpuri village.

The injured, 10 of them seriously, had been rushed to this district's Maharani hospital.
