Tripura victory signals people's support to Left policies
Kolkata, Mar 7 (UNI) Left Front Chairman Biman Bose today made it clear that the landslide victory in the Tripura Assembly election smacked of people's support to the Left's alternative policy.
Reacting to the result, Mr Bose, also the West Bengal CPI(M) State Secretary, in a statement here said the Left had not only retained its traditional vote bank, but had also eaten into the votes of the Congress.
The Left leader said the Congress had not only indulged in an ''opportunistic politics'', but had also made an alliance with the terrorist outfits.
'' The people of Tripura have rejected the economic policies of the Centre as well, '' he averred.
'' We have achieved a hattrick in Tripura, Kerala and West Bengal, '' he observed.
