Notorious smuggler succeeds in sliping into Pakistan

Barmer, Mar 7 (UNI) Notorious smuggler Haji Shakur, wanted in for various criminal cases, has succeeded in slipping into Pakistan recently, Intelligence Department sources said.

According to the sources, Shakur had gone to Pakistan via Attari, Amritsar recently despite the fact that a personal crime file against him was still open at the Gadra Road police station in this district.

As per the prevailing rules and immigration procedure, Shakur could not have crossed over to Pakistan but he had succeeded in giving a slip to the officials.

Two cases, including one about his illegal infiltration into Pakistan with two accomplices, were pending against him before the police, the sources added.
