Naik criticises Railway Budget for ignoring Mumbai
Mumbai, Mar 7 (UNI) Former Minister of State for Railway and senior BJP leader Ram Naik today criticised Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav for ''ignoring'' the city in the Railway Budget.
Speaking to reporters, Mr Naik said that Mr Yadav has lowered the importance of Mumbai Railway Authority, and the Rs 3,480 crore project of Mumbai Urban Transport-I, which should have been completed by this time, will lag behind miserably.
He said that the proposal of starting new local trains was baseless and demanded to know the time when the new trains will actually start operating.
Mr Naik added that the second class commuters of the local trains should have been given Re one concession in the fare.
