Eight suspected naxalites informers arrested, arms seized

Udupi, Mar 7 (UNI) Eight suspected informers of naxalites have been arrested at Hebri-Kudlu in Udupi district today in a joint operation by the Anti Naxalite Force and the district police.

Inspector General of Police (Western Range) A N Prasad told UNI that one single barrel gun, 30 detonators, two zeletine sticks, one motor bike, naxal literature and flags were seized from them.

He said that on getting a definite tip both the Karkala police and the ANF sleuths nabbed them when they were waiting in a car in the forest to meet naxalites.

The arrested were taken to Sitanadhi Nature Camp for interrogation where they revealed to have been supplying food to the naxalites.
