5 people attempt self -immolation before J'khand Secretariat

Ranchi, Mar 7 (UNI) Five IV grade government employees today tried to immolate themselves infront of Jharkhand Secretariat here in support of their demands.

Sources said two of them received burn injuries whereas police prevented three others from doing so.

Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police Richard Lakra told UNI that the condition of one Bhrigu Pandey was critical. He received about 45 per cent burn injuries and has been admitted to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences.

The employees were on agitation for the past three months in support of their demands, including distribution of bonus and enhancement of their grades under ACP, added.
