KE-Burgmann announces opening of facility in Chhattisgarh
Chennai, Mar 6 (UNI) The city-based KE-Burgmann Flexibles India, leading manufacturer of expansion joints, today announced opening of its second manufacturing facility in India at Raipur in Chhattisgarh.
The new facility would manufacture Flexgen, Combine-X, Hi-Flex and Thermoflex type compensators, catering to the industrial belt in and around Raipur, Eastern and Central India.
Expansion joints--Fabric, Metal or Rubber--are installed as flexible connections in duct and piping systems to prevent damage at power plants, chemical and petrochemical plants, cement plants, pulp and paper plants, FGD systems and steel works.
Addressing the media, KE Burgmann CEO Peter L Nielsen said the company was dedicated to the development, design and manufacture of Fabric, Metal and Rubber Expansion Joints in an almost unlimited variety of designs for the solution of a similarly vast range of industrial alignment problems.
Observing that the company's Indian operations have become very important factor for its growth and exports, he said KE-Burgmann plans to invest close to one million euros in India to further expand its Chennai facility and to give an aggressive thrust to exports from India.
''The company will close the current financial year with a turnover of more than Rs 165 million and expects this to touch to Rs 250 million by 2010'', he added.
