Congress to finalise strategies for Rajya Sabha poll on Mar 9

Kolkata, Mar 6 (UNI) Information and Broadcasting Minister and newly elected West Bengal Congress president Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi today said his party would finalise the strategy for Rajya Sabha polls on March 9.

Mr Dasmunsi, who attended the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting here, told mediapersons that he would meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi on March 9 in Delhi to finalise the plans for the Rajya Sabha poll.

'' I will meet Ms Sonia Gandhi in Delhi after the Krishak Sabha meeting on March 9 and finalise the strategies for Rajya Sabha poll, '' he said.

Mr Dasmunsi said a number of decisions had been taken during the CLP meeting for taking ''constructive steps'' by the party MLAs during the budget session of the State Assembly.
