Van Halen postpones reunion tour

London, Mar 5 : Hard rock band Van Halen has been forced to postpone their US reunion tour following undisclosed medical illness of their guitarist Eddie Van Halen.

According to a statement released, Halen is undergoing "a battery of comprehensive tests, "reports BBC.

The 25-date tour was delayed last March until September while Van Halen was reportedly treated in a rehabilitation centre.

The four performances were scheduled to take place in Dallas, Texas; Cincinnati, Ohio; Baltimore, Maryland; and Raleigh, North Carolina.

The 53-year-old singer has previously battled through oral cancer, hip replacement surgery and alcoholism.

The tour is expected to take place next month.
