MRCC condemns Bal Thackeray's outburst
Mumbai, Mar 5 (UNI) Mumbai Regional Congress Committee (MRCC) president and MP Gurudas Kamat today strongly criticised the statement made by Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray against the citizens and leaders of Bihar.
Terming Mr Thakeray's statement as a direct fall-out of Raj Thackeray's outburst last month, Mr Kamat condemned Bal Thackeray for using 'gutter language' and provoking and inciting violence for political gains.
He also urged Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh to take strict action against the senior Thackeray, who he accused of using stronger language than Raj Thackeray against the people of Bihar.
MRCC chief also condemed Bollywood actors like Salman Khan, Suneil Shetty and Nana Patekar for supporting Raj against the Mumbai Police's gag order.
''They were condemning the action taken by the courts and police, and were indirectly supporting the vandalism and destruction witnessed last month,'' he alleged.
