Veliyam Bhargavan re-elected CPI Kerala Secretary

Thrissur, Mar 4: Mr Veliyam Bhargavan has been unanimously elected as the Kerala State Council Secretary of the Communist Party of India for the fourth consecutive time.

Former Revenue Minister K E Ismail proposed Mr Bhargavan's name for the post from the newly-elected 107-member state Council, which has 22 new members. The new state Council will meet on March 14 and 15 to elect the new executive and other office-bearers, Mr Bhargavan told reporters at the conclusion of the four-day party state Conference here.
