Gold surges to new peak at Rs 12,805 per ten gm

Mumbai, Mar 4: Gold prices surged to a new peak at Rs 12,805 per ten gm on the bullion market today amid support from investors in the closing session, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association (BBA) said.

The yellow metal advanced by Rs 60 while the white metal rose by Rs 80 per kg, traders added. Following are the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fines grade : Rs 24,650 (24,570) Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 12,805 (12,745) Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 12,855 (12,800).
