Father rapes minor girl in central Mumbai

Mumbai, Mar 4: In a shocking incident, a 13-year-old girl was raped by her father here at Wadala Road in south-central Mumbai, police said today.

Mohammed Sheikh (40) raped his daughter, and threatened to kill her along with her mother and brother, if she disclosed the incident to anybody. The incident took place last night at Vijay Nagar in Antop Hill in Wadala, the police said.

When the victim was not able to bear the pain, she started to cry, following which her mother, Shahida Sheikh (35), inquired what had happened. The victim narrated the whole incident to her mother. Shahida took her daughter to the police station and lodged a complaint against her husband.

A case of rape and intimidation has been registered against the accused.
