Hyderabad, Mar 4 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Assembly N Chandrababu Naidu today charged the ruling Congress with having pursued ''political opportunism by encouraging separatism in the state to come to power.'' speaking after the resignation of TRS members from the State Assembly, he alleged that the Congress had aligned with the TRS on one hand and the Communists on the other even while having an understanding with naxals to come to power and decieved them.'' The Congress is responsible for every vexed issue in the country, he added.

''Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, the then Leader of the Opposition, had ''instigated'' a section of the Congressmen to submit a memorandum to Congress President Sonia Gandhi to press for separate state,'' Mr Naidu alleged.

Dr Reddy had even ''instigated communal riots'' in the old city during the then Channa Reddy regime, he claimed.

It was the TDP which ushered in development in Telangana in a big way during its nine-year rule, he contended and challenged the Congress for a debate on the issue.
