CDO, project director suspended for siphoning of funds

Siddharthnagar, Mar 4 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh government today suspended former Chief Development Officer (CDO) and Project Director with immediate effect for misappropriation of funds at Sant Kabirnagar district of Basti division.

CDO B K Mishra and Project Director P P Tiwari were suspended for siphoning of crores of rupees under ''Sampoorna Gramin Rojgar Yojana,'' ''Adarsh Jalashaya Yojana'' and ''Indra Awas''.

At present, Mr Mishra is posted in Mirzapur as Joint Development Commissioner, whereas Mr Tripathi is the CDO, Oraiya.
