National conference on Buddhism

Varanasi, Mar 3: A three day national conference on '' Buddhism and World Culture'' organised by the Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies will commence from March 7 at Sarnath.

Institutes's registrar Dr Vinod Kumar Singh here said ''former India President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam will inaugurate the conference as the chief guest and Prof Sulak Sivaraksa, an internationally reputed thinker and scholar from Thailand, will deliver the key note address.'' Besides, Abhijit Sengupta, secretary, Department of Culture (India) would be the guest of honour, he informed.
