Six held for betting on India-Aussie ODI

Eluru, Mar 2 (UNI) Six people were arrested today on the charge of carrying out betting on the India-Australia first final One-Day match in Sydney.

Police said, a television set, two DVDs, two mobile phones and cash of Rs 850 were seized from them.

On a tip off, a police team led by Bhimavaram town police Sub-Inspector A Srinivas raided a video shop near Mavulamma temple in the town and arrested the accused.

A hunt was on to nab nine more persons, police added.
