Sharjah-Chennai flight cancelled due to technical snag

Tiruchirapalli, Mar 2: A Chennai-bound Indian flight from Sharjah with a stopover here was cancelled due to technical snag today.

Airport sources said the Sharjah-Chennai flight with 43 passengers on board was scheduled to take off at 0520 hrs from the international airport here.

The flight was cancelled after the pilot noticed that the hydroulic system of the aircraft was not functioning properly. While nearly half of the passengers boarded a Deccan flight to Chennai, others cancelled their trip, the sources added.
