Richard Williams mulls launching welfare programmes in India
Bangalore, Mar 2 (UNI) Richard Williams, father of the Tennis star sisters--Serena and Venus, intends to launch welfare programmes in India to uplift the poor and the underprivileged.
Mr Richards, who is accompanying his daughters for the Bangalore Open, told newspersons ''I am pained to see poor people suffering in India. I want to take up a project to uplift them economically''.
To a question, he said there were many American companies functioning in India, which would support me in my project. This is my first visit to India and after seeing the condition of the poor I feel something should be done for their welfare.
