Change in working hours to be opposed: Kerala CM

Palakkad, Mar 2 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan today said the working class will oppose Finance Minister P Chidambarm's proposal to increase the working hours from eight to ten.

Participating in a function here, he said ''Mr Chidambaram has made the announcement on the terms of globalisation, depriving the working class of their rights.'' Mr Achuthanandan regretted that the Union Budget did not address the basic issues that led the farmers to debt and suicide.
