Blast in factory leaves two dead near Vijayawada

Vijayawada, Mar 2: Two persons were killed and another was injured in an explosion at a chemical factory in Kondapalli industrial area, about 23 km from here today.

According to police, the explosion in a chemical unit of Lakshmi Organic Factory was triggered by high pressure.While Srinivasa Rao died on the spot, D Ramu succumbed to his injuries at the Government Hospital here. The condition of the injured was stated to be critical, police added.
