Airtel service expansion drive in Tripura

Agartala, Mar 2: As part of network expansion drive in Tripura, Bharati Airtel Ltd has launched mobile phone service to ensure world class communication facilities to people living in border and interior areas of the state.

The company's sources said here today that in about 26 months since the launch of Airtel mobile services in the state, the company has brought over 1.25 lakh customers within its fold. ''Presently, Airtel has over 100 towers, 21 channel partners and over 1,350 retailers across Tripura, all contributing to boosting local employment as well as enhancing the telecom infrastructure in Tripura,'' the sources added.
