MNS violence against North Indians a political stunt: Poonam

Bilaspur, Chhatisgarh, Mar 1 (UNI) Maharashtra Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) General Secretary Poonam Mahajan today described the violence against north Indians in several parts of Maharashtra as a political stunt by the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS).

Ms Mahajan, daughter of late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, made the statement while addressing a press conference on the sidelines of a Sambhagiya Rally of the BJYM in protest of rising inflation.

Ms Mahajan said the activities of the MNS were merely a political stunt.

Replying to a question, Ms Mahajan said the Shiv Sena and its Chief Bal Thackeray had nothing to do with the MNS Campaign.

However, she pointed out that Mumbai has been facing overpopulation for several years now and no space has been left for any newcomer whether Marathi or non-Marathi.
