Journalist Suhash Chandra Talukdar passes away

Kolkata, Mar 1 (UNI) Veteran journalist Suhash Chandra Talukdar died today at a city nursing home here following prolonged illness.

He was 72.

Talukdar was the editor and owner of 'Uttar Banga Sambad', a Bengali daily, which is the first of its kind to be published from North Bengal.

He also ran 'Tathya Kendra', an all-India appointment gazette.

Talukdar is survuved by his wife, son and daughter.
