French national killed, Swiss injured in accident

Chennai, Mar 1 (UNI) A 38-year-old French national was killed and a Swiss national sustained injuries when their two-wheeler collided with a Tamil Nadu State Express Transport Corporation bus near Kaipanikuppam on the East Coast Road today.

Police sources said the French man Ferdit Pennies was riding pillion along with his friend Yonik David (24) of Switzerland.

Yonik was admitted to the Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences.

The bus was proceeding to Aduthurai from Chennai and the foreigners were on their way to Chennai, when the mishap occurred.
