Central team in Pondy to assess rain damage

Puducherry, Mar 1: An Inter-ministerial central team, led by B Bhamathy, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, arrived here today for an on-the-spot assessment of damages caused in the recent rainfall.

According to official sources, the team had watched a presentation given by the officials of the territorial administration. It would visit places such as Solai Nagar, Nonamkuppam, Seliyamedu and T N Palayam for assessing the damages before emplaning for Delhi this evening.
