RDO orders inquiry into mysterious death of married woman

Ramanathapuram, Feb 29 (UNI) The District administration today ordered an inquiry by the Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) into the mysterious death of a 19-year-old woman, who was recently married at Vellariodai village, here today.

Official sources said the deceased B Jayashree was recently married to one Balachandran, who had gone to a neighbouring district in search of employment. Jayashree stayed in her mother's house.

She reportedly died two days ago under mysterious circumstances. Her parents allegedly cremated the body, without informing their relatives and police.

However, after getting the information, the Village Administrative Officer (VAO) Khader Mohideen informed the matter to the police.

During interrogation, Jayashree's parents stated that she was suffering from acute stomach and chest pain and her death was natural. However, suspecting foul play in her death, the district administration had ordered an RDO inquiry into her death.
