NTPC signs loan agreement with NIB for Euro 68.56 mln
New Delhi, Feb 29 (UNI) State-run power producer National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC) today said it has signed a loan agreement for 68.56 million euro with the Nordic Investment Bank (NIB), a to partly finance the capital expenditure of its projects.
''The loan has a maturity of 12 years including availability period of three years,'' company said in a statement.
The loan carries a floating rate of interest linked to EURIBOR and is without sovereign guarantee.
This is the first loan that NTPC has tied up with NIB, a multilateral financial institution owned by the Nordic and Baltic countries, the statement said.
