Multi-service SEZ in Ananthapur dist of AP

Hyderabad, Feb 29 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Major Industries Minister J Geeta Reddy today said the Centre has approved the proposal to set up a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in the industrially-backward Ananthapur district.

Replying to a question from G Thippe Swamy (Cong) in the Legislative Council, she said the Board of Approvals, Government of India in a letter dated February two, had formally approved the proposal.

''The Rassai Properties and Industries Limited, Mumbai has been given approval to set up multi-services SEZ in the mandals of Parigi and Madakasira of Ananthapur district in an area of 1039.17 acres,'' she said.
