Higher Secondary examinations begin in Manipur

Imphal, Feb 29: The Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate, HSSLC Examination began today in Manipur and all bandhs in the state have also called been off in view of the examinations.

About 15,213 students are appearing in 52 centres and special arrangements have been taken up to stop the students from using unfair means and about 17 inspection teams are moving around to check the conduct of the examination. The police has also taken up adequate arrangements in view of the examinations and no one is allowed around the examination centres. So far no untoward incident has been reported.

Meanwhile, the electricity department has announced it will try to provide adequate power during the examination however the students were piqued that there was power failure today since morning today.
