FM gets approval from home constituents

New Delhi, Feb 29 (UNI) It was a thumbs up for Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram from his better half, Nalini, who endorsed the pro-farmers tone of the 2008-09 Union Budget presented by him in the Lok Sabha today.

Clad in a kanjeevaram saree, she emerged from the House with a huge smile on her face, saying, "I am happy with the Budget, everyone will be happy." Asked as to which aspect had earned the Finance Minister her praise, Mrs Chidambaram said she most welcomed the Government's decision to exempt small and marginal farmers from farm loans.
