Decision soon on Dewda Committee Report in MP
Bhopal, Feb 29 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Minister of State for Scheduled Tribes Ranjana Baghel today informed the Assembly that a decision would be taken soon on the Dewda Committee Report on simplifying the process vis-a-vis issuance of caste certificates for Scheduled Castes (SC) and ST.
She was replying to a discussion on a private member's bill presented by Mr Sajjan Singh Verma (Congress) on issuance of caste certificates to SC and ST candidates on the lines of Delhi. ''The government's attitude reveals that the Bharatiya Janata Party is apathetic towards SC and ST. No opposition member was included in the Committee,'' said Mr Verma.
Another private member's bill presented by Mr Shankar Singh (Bharatiya Janata Party) was passed unanimously. It urged the Centre to run the Rewa-Bhopal-Rewa Rewanchal Express from the local Habibganj Station instead of Bhopal Junction.
