Krishnagar, Feb 29 (UNI) A 16-member high profile delegation, led by Bangladesh Army General Moinuddin Ahmed, today arrived at Nadia's Gede station, where the new Indo-Bangladesh rail lines will be laid.

Border Security Force's 200 Bn held a 20-minute meeting with the Army General, in which they discussed the infrastructure and facilites at the station. This station will connect India with Bangladesh.

The team was on their way from New Delhi, when they landed at the station this morning to hold talks with the railway authorities and the BSF personnel here and make a survey of the station.

Bangladesh High Commissioners from Delhi and Kolkata and Eastern Railway Divisional Railway Manager Sapan Mondol were also present.

General Ahmed said, ''We are pleased to see the facilites here and hope to finalise the plans to begin train services here.'' He also expressed satisfaction over the facilities of the station, while adding, ''I hope that this service will help in improving the age-old Indo-Bangladesh friendship.'' UNI XC LL RN1542
