Pro-Kannada organisation continue protest against TN water project
Chamarajanagara, Karnataka, Feb 28 (UNI) Activists of pro-Kannada organisations continued their protest by staging 'Rasta Roko' today against the proposed drinking water project of Tamil Nadu government at the disputed place in Hoganekkal falls in the district.
The agitators took out a procession in the town against the Rs 1341 crore project and urged the Tamil Nadu to stop works immediately.
Speaking on the occasion pro-Kannada organisation convenor Srinivasa Gowda urged the both the state government to take up the survey of the disputed area and not to take up the works otherwise the agitation would be intensified.
Kannada Chaluvali Vatal Paksha leader Vatal Nagaraj has given a call for Chamarajanagara bandh on March 23.
