Netam rules out deployment of BSF in Chhattisgarh
Dantewada, Chhattisgarh, Feb 28 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Home Minister Ramvichar Netam has said the government has no plan at present to deploy Border Security Force (BSF) in the state to combat the Naxal menace.
Mr Netam, talking to mediapersons here yesterday, said no directives had been received from the Centre in that regard.
''Besides the recruitment of 10,000 constables, the state government is also geared up for modernisation of police,'' he added.
Mr Netam declined to comment further on the issue on the pretext of strategic confidentiality.
