Motley Crue to begin world tour on July 4, confirms Tommy Lee

Washington, Feb 28 : Motley Crue's drummer has revealed that the band's world tour will kick off on July 4, 2008.

In an online post, Lee also cleared the air on his status in the rock group after a buzz circulated that some tension was brewing between him and the rest of the band.

According to reports, Lee had threatened to quit the group last year, prompting bassist Nikki Sixx to comment on his departure, however, now things look fine.

"I never quit! Silly rumors! We're all together! We're goin' on a world tour starting July 4th!" Contactmusic quoted him, as stating on the website.

Sixx recently posted his own online message, stating, "The chemistry in the studio as we're writing (the new album) is unbelievable."
