India conveyed outrage to US over offensive use of Tricolour

New Delhi, Feb 28 (UNI) India has conveyed to the US its outrage over the ''offensive'' use of images of Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and the Tricolour on the undergarments of a US-based online supplier.

External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee today informed the Rajya Sabha, in a written reply, that India had sought the discontinuance of the offensive practice and the matter was being followed up with the US government.

The US government had been apprised of the matter through political and diplomatic channels, he said.
