Govt assures striking SRTC employees

Jammu, Feb 28 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir government has assured the striking State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) employees that their pending salary will be paid immediately and urged them to resume their duties.

In a statement issued last evening, an official spokesperson of the government said the pending salary of the SRTC employees for last four months would be paid within a day or two.

Meanwhile, managing director of SRTC has advised the employees on strike to resume their duties to save the corporation from further loss of revenue and avoid any inconvenience to the passengers.

The SRTC service has been affected after its employees went on strike demanding the release of their pending dues.
