CM's son Amit ties knot with Aditi

Mumbai, Feb 28 (UNI) Maharshtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh's eldest son Amit Deshmukh married Aditi Ghorpade, a television actress, here today.

The marriage function was held at the Hotel Grand Hyatt.

Amit is considered as the political heir to his father, while Aditi is the daughter of a Bangalore-based Maharashtrian engineer.

Tight security was maintained on the hotel premises, considering the visit of many VVIPs. Many dignitaries including politicians, industrialists and personalities from the film industry attended the wedding ceremony.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, Maharashtra Chief Secretary Johny Joseph, actor director Sanjay Khan, Subhash Chandra of Zee Group, MPs from Maharashtra, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena president Raj Thackeray, Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray, senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde and Maharashtara BJP president Nitin Gadkari were among those who attended the wedding.

A grand reception will be held here tomorrow at the Mahalaxmi Race Course, which is expected to be attended by President Pratibha Patil.
