Abducted engineer and supervisor rescued

Dehri-on-Sone, Feb 28 (UNI) Police today rescued the engineer and supervisor of a private road construction company, who were abducted yesterday by armed miscreants at Chhotki Chenari under Shivsagar police station of Rohtas district.

Superintendent of Police Nayyar Hasnain Khan said on getting the information, a joint team of Rohtas and Kaimur district police was formed and raids were started to nab the miscreants.

''We were also tracking the cellphones of the victims to trace the location and based on the information provided by the cellphone company and its service provider, police conducted raids at Belaon village in neighbouring Kaimur district and rescued the abducted engineer and supervisor,'' the SP said.

However, on seeing the approaching police team, the abductors managed to escape, the SP added.
