5 conmen held for duping Nepali girls
Gorakhpur, Feb 28 (UNI) Police today arrested five conmen and rescued 11 Nepal-based girls from their clutches in Cantt station area here.
''On a tip-off, police cordoned off area near railway station and swooped upon the accused, who had duped the girls -- aging between 18 to 32 yrs, with a promise to provide them jobs in Mumbai,'' Deputy Superintendent of Police Vishvajeet Srivastava said.
The arrested also hailed from Nepal, he informed, adding that the girls had been sent to their country.
