27 lakh tonnes fertiliser distributed in MP
Bhopal, Feb 28 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government today informed the Assembly that 30.72 lakh tonnes of fertiliser were stored and 27 lakh tonnes distributed in the state during 2007-08.
In a written reply to Mr Indrajeet Kumar (Congress), Agriculture Minister Gopal Bhargav said, ''likewise, 13,08,836 quintals of seeds were stored and 11,56,957 quintals distributed. The distribution of fertiliser and seed exceeded demand. The government did not receive any complaint related to black-marketing.'' Woman and Child Development Minister Kusum Singh Mehdele told Mr Ramnivas Rawat (Cong) that the Vivekanand Group Insurance Scheme was initiated on January 28, 2006 and Rs 6.70 crore paid as premium and service tax to insurance companies.
