One killed, 14 hurt in blast near Assam's police station
Tezpur, Feb 27 (UNI) One person was killed and 14 others were injured, including two women, in a blast near Tezpur police station in Assam's Sonitpur district today.
The blast occurred at around 1430 hours, barely 100 metres from the police station, at a crowded market place.
One of the critically injured person, who was referred to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital, succumbed on the way.
The 14 other injured were being treated at the Tezpur Civil Hospital, where the condition of three was stated to be critical.
The bomb was kept on a bicycle and militants were suspected to have triggered the blast.
