{image-Lok sabha1_27022008.jpg news.oneindia.in}New Delhi, Feb 27: The Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day shortly after question hour today, virtually without transacting any business as the NDA and other non-UPA parties raised an uproar over the farmers' issue. The only business that was possible was the laying of papers on the table and the written submissions under rule 377.
Speaker Somnath Chatterjee adjourned the House twice, first till 1200 hrs immediately after the members had assembled and subsequently for the day. As soon as the House assembled, the opposition NDA and members of the SP, BSP and TDP trooped into the well of the House, demanding the waiver of farmers' loans. They also raised slogans like ''Stop shedding crocodile tears on the farmers issue''.
Members of the CPI, CPI(M), Forward Bloc and the RSP also seemed to be raising similar demands, standing at their respective places.
