Porters at Patna Junction celebrate job announcement in Budget

Patna, Feb 26 (UNI) Licensed porters at Patna Junction today expressed their happiness after Railway Minister Lalu Prasad assured them jobs of gangmen and other fourth grade staff in Railway Budget (2008-09).

The moment they heard the announcement on TV channels the porters started exchanging colours and sweets on the fulfillment of their long cherished dream. A few of them also expressed their views on the channels saying it was their long pending demand with the Centre and they are thankful to the Railway Minister for fulfilling it.

They were also raising slogans like ''Lalu Prasad Zindabad'' and ''Jabtak Suraj Chand Rahega- Lalu Tera Nam Rahega'' and described the Railway Minister as the true ''Messiah'' of the downtrodden.
