Mob beats man to death in police custody

Hazipur, Feb 23, 2008 : A man in police custody in India's eastern state of Bihar was beaten to death by a furious mob on February 23.

Ravi Kumar suspected of stabbing a man to death was killed by a furious mob when he was receiving medical treatment in a hospital in eastern Hazipur when the mob attacked him and dragged him out of the hospital in the presence of the police. The mob walked away leaving Ravi Kumar in a pool of blood and he later succumbed to his injuries.
