Rains likely in J

Pune, Feb 24 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, coastal Tamil Nadu, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala.

Night temperatures were below normal in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Orissa, Punjab, Gujarat, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka.

Night temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, east Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh and in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Jharkhand, Bihar, west Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, and Telangana.

They were above normal in some parts of Vidarbha and Chattisgarh.

They were normal over the rest of the country.
