HM militant arrested in S Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 24: Security forces arrested a Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militant along with arms and ammunition in south Kashmir, official sources said today.

They said Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and troops of 183 battalion Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) launched a joint operation at Rajpora in south Kashmir district of Pulwama.

During the operation, troops arrested a Pakistan Trained Militant (PTM) Javid Ahmad Sheikh alias Rizwan along with two hand grenades.

They said the militant was active in south Kashmir for the past eight years.
