State-level Women's Day function to be organized on March 8 at Shiml

Shimla, Feb 23 (UNI) A State-level Women's Day function will be organized on March eight at the famous Ridge Madian here, Lokender Chauhan, Additional Director, Social Justice and Empowerment said today speaking in a meeting here to review the arrangements for organizing the state level function.

He said the exhibition of products of Women Self Help Groups and awareness generation about women related schemes and legislations; skits, debates, games and cultural programmes would be the main attractions of the function.

The anganwari workers and women/girls excelling in various fields would be on the awarded occassion.

Representatives of Education, Youth Services and Sports Departments, H.P. Red Cross Society, Social Welfare Board, State Women Commission, H.P. Women Development Corporation, H.P. Gyan Vigyan Samiti and ICDS were present in the meeting.l UNI AS JN MMS2008
