RJD leader shot dead in Bhagalpur

Bhagalpur, Feb 23 (UNI) Unidentified armed criminals shot dead RJD's Bhagalpur president Laxmi Kant Yadav at Noorpur village under Nathnagar police station today.

District Police Superintendent G S Gangwar said the criminals opened fire on Mr Yadav when he was sitting at the residence of his neighbour Gopal Bhagat in Noorpur village.

He died on the spot in the attack.

'' Irate supporters of Mr Yadav ransacked the residence of Mr Bhagat after the incident, '' he said adding raids were being carried out to nab the criminals.
